Name: Alex Donks Alex Donks

Nickname: Mornox

Location: The Netherlands

Occupation: Philosophy Student

Music you're into: Black Metal, Dark Ambient, Industrial, Darkwave, certain game soundtracks (including 8-bit chip-tune stuff), some classical composers, and various non-black extreme metal bands.

Favourite Bands:
The usual for a black metaller, not in any comprehensive or coherent order: Bathory, Graveland, Burzum, Darkthrone, Thorns, Mütiilation, Belketre, Black Funeral, Blut aus Nord, Enslaved, Varathron, Necromantia, early Aeternus, Belenos, Nokturnal Mortum, Root, Master's Hammer, Strid, Deathspell Omega, Die Saat, Nagelfar.

As for non-metal: Lustmord, Elend, Aghiatrias, Dead can Dance, Desiderii Marginis, Devil Doll, Shinjuku Thief, Halo Manash, Kriegsfall-U, Inade, Ildjarn, First Law, In Slaughter Natives, Brighter Death Now, Inade, Sophia, Visions, Terra Sancta, Aeoga, Sephiroth, Lord Wind.

Likes: Music, reading and writing (mostly science fiction), debating, women, hanging out with friends, videogames (console mostly), slacking off, interesting modern continental philosophy, current hyper-speculative scientific theories, western esotericism (though I'm definitely not a believer in the floatier crap), pre-christian european history, intruiging stuff in general and The Truth about Life, the Universe and Everything.

Dislikes: Stupidity in general, bureaucracy and paperwork, unkown people or corporate outits or governmental departments bothering me with trivial nonsense and busywork, the consumer culture, censorship, lowest-common-denominator entertainment, handwringing moralising, monotheism, capitalism, America and the western culture of mediocrity, vagabonds, criminals and other assorted lowlife scum.

Favourite food: Rice-dishes (most things Thai or Chinese involving rice basically)

Favourite movies: erhm, I'm not much of a movie person. 'The Usual Suspects' has stayed with me for deceiving me so completely while still laying subtle hints as to the real truth throughout the whole movie. Oh, and Transformer: The Movie, which I've probably watched a billion times as a kid, is still tremendously cool today, especially the 'Here's a hint!' scene. It was also my first introduction to heavy metal funnily enough, though I didn't know it at that time.

Favourite sf-writers: Dan Simmons, Arthur C. Clarke, Peter F. Hamilton, Iain M. Banks, Alastaire Reynolds, Charles Stross, Vernor Vinge.
