DC: Vaginal Vempire' was a hugely successful brutal death/pornogrind album. How many copies did it sell again? Not too many US bands played in that style back then, especially using pornogrind influences. Did you think that contributed to the success of the album?


AxBx: We have moved about 10,000 copies of Vaginal Vempyre, and Im sure its rather widely availible on the internet!!!!

DC: What made you do a spoof on Cradle of Filth's logo? It is true that you booked Cradle of Filth's first US show? Why would you do that kind of thing? Your country must never have forgiven you for that.

AxBx: The Cradle spoof, lofl, yea, well look at the record Vempyre by Cradle, it has 2 bitches and a simular color scape, and the logo is a fucking riot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cradle was good when we brought them to the Milwaukee Metal Fest w/ Venom, they only had Principles of EVIL made Flesh, Vempyre, and the Dusk records out, they were fun and blasphemous back then.

DC: Released after a period of six years, your second full-length album 'Battered Bleeding Bitch' was a lot more brutal death metal sounding than 'Vaginal Vempire', and it didn't go down well with a lot of the original Anal Blast fans- I know because they to me came and cried on my shoulders and I remember taking good advantage of them in that situation. Was the shift in the Anal Blast sound a conscious decision or were you hanging out with too many brutal bands and didn't realise that you were getting influenced by them?

AxBx: BAAAHAHAHAHHAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAA It is a fucking demo recording, it was only put out cause so many people wanted a taste of what is to be on the full length, that after it was recorded, I put it out, because there are 4 songs I love on that one( My First period, Suck A Cock, Menstrual Munchies, and CUNT TO THROAT) It was never spose to top vaginal or 5.0bese

DC: Your Terrorizer/Nightfall label put out some fine underrated stuff back in the day such as releases from Grey Skies Fallen, Defiled, Sarcophagus, etc. What's the status of the label at present? Will the upcoming Anal Blast release 'Menstrual Messiah' be on your label?

AxBx: Yes It should come out in 2009, if Im alive

DC: Speaking of which, looks like the world famous drummer Nick Barker of Cradle of Filth, Old Man's Child, Dimmu Borgir, etc. fame is set to record on Anal Blast's final album. How did you manage to rope in Nick Barker? Is Nick really a fan of Anal Blast or is he doing you a favour of some sort? What else does he do for you?

AxBx: I like Nick, he's a true Metal Brother, and he asked me if we could do a record, in 2004, time to get it done.

Nick is one of the best drummers on the planet

DC: What made you come with a name like 'Menstrual Messiah'? Can you tell us about its significance? While you're at it, also say something about the music on that album. Is it going to be more along the lines of your debut album or a step forward from the brutal music on 'Battered Bleeding Bitch'?

DC: Mutilated Records recently released an Anal Blast compilation CD titled 'Assault on the Hot Wet Blood Hole'. What were the reasons behind releasing a compilation CD at this point? Who selected the songs and how hard was the process? Did you two guys have to shave each others eyebrows off?

AxBx: Eyebrow's, Ive never met the guy in person.

I released it, because I wanted mor promotion for the band.

He is a good guy, we got cool new art, and some new fans to shoot the shit with, the European grnd scene fucking rules, and it was cool to get a release well distributed over there.
