What you are staring at like a dumbass is a review of a demo of an unsigned Italian death metal band. That such a good band is still unsigned has compelled me to turn into an atheist, but then that's exactly what the band wants, this way or through their music. Either which way, brace yourself tightly like a lonely homo, because under the oppressive death metal weight of Imposer, your body will get flattened like a Pomfret fish and then with their black metal edge, it will be afflicted with large gashes that will make your entrails shoot out excitedly like silly strings. (Click here to get some imagination reference and then build up on it).

The music on ‘Imposition Servant' is comparable to the great Floridian death metal band Diabolic, that might be too superior to them in terms of musicianship, but I'm not talking about that; I'm trying to explain how like Diabolic, Imposer's music has a venomous Floridian sound with a black metal tinge to it. Think Angelcorpse to assist you in your thought process. Augmenting the sound are Brazilian death metal elements that make Imposer one evil bloodthirsty motherfucker. So far with this kind of description, thoughts of the overlooked Dutch death metal band Centurian should be buzzing in your head. Where their flirtation with the black side is concerned, think of the sublime ‘Rebel Souls'-era Damnation. Moving along in the common Polish territory, also think of the terrifying, underwear-disintegrating Throneum (an excellent part in "As They Prey" seems to be taken straight from Throneum's masterpiece ‘Old Death's Lair'). And lastly, to round off Imposer's sound, think of the mighty, mighty Immolation (check out the opening of "Gates of Salton" and also the main riff of "Blood In My Eyes"). If you're still with me, then get someone to pat you on your back for your exceptional imaginative thinking. Maybe you should consider writing for Diabolical Conquest.

To create such huge Ross Dolan-esque vocals, Gianluigi must have a mouth shaped like that of a hippopotamus - a disgruntled one that's been deprived of water for too long. The drumming for the most part involves intermittent bursts of blasting done in the style of Damnation. The production seems to be suppressing the music and as a result it sounds kind of lifeless and impassive. A pity this, for the band has composed some really good, well-structured songs with riffs capable of injecting enough venom to make its listeners turn purple (unless you're already a Goth). Well, not much is lost considering it's only a demo. Credit must be given to Imposer's levitating solos, which although being brief, invoke sweet memories of Damnation, Diabolic and Immolation.

What I'm really surprised at is that this band is Italian. Fuck that, I'm flabbergasted to see that they are still unsigned. What is wrong with them? Nothing much I say, give them a powerful production and they will unleash the dogs of hell that will tear off your balls the first thing. What the fuck is wrong with the labels then? Well, if any one of you label guys are reading this review, especially read this: Sign them at once before I bash your puny releases!
