Some reviews are almost too easy to write.
I've never heard their debut so bear with me, I don't have any previous material to compare this too.
The Day Everything Became Nothing sounds VERY similar to Cock and Ball Torture. If you didn't like the direction CBT ended up going, just get buy into some TDEBN, but I personally like them even better than CBT. They're louder, more abrasive and while the vocals don't splatter and spew all over your speakers quite they way CBT did, they STILL splatter and spew.
Featuring members of Fuck…I'm Dead and Blood Duster, TDEBN doesn't really sound like either (but I do hear remote similarities to the Blood Duster - 'Menstrual Soup' demo).
This EP is 3 new songs, one “live” song and one Satyricon cover….WHAT?????
Satyricon?
Yah, and don't ask me to compare the two because I've never heard more than 3 minutes of Satyricon in my life because I pretty much think blackmetal sucks.
But The Day Everything Became Nothing doesn't suck.
I'm gonna' go find the full length to buy now. Recommended for those who like it syrupy thick and bowel grooving.
